The information business is the perfect business. It is low cost to start, can be done at home on your kitchen table, has incredible margins, and contains unlimited income potential. 3. It should be very specific. There is an overabundance of free information on the Internet, so general information doesn't sell well anymore. A book that just tells people how to make money is not as good as an idea for a book on how to make money creating and selling your own ebooks. Specific information sells because the web doesn't deliver specifics.

Once you have those three requirements in place, then you can start thinking of a subject matter. Many people immediately think of selling information on making money, but that isn't the best place for you to start. First of all, if you haven't made any money yet, then you aren't qualified to write about it. In that market you will also find yourself competing with thousands of competitors, many of which know exactly what they are doing. The competition is fierce.
